I'm going to have to pop over to one of these doncaster car boot sales.

Keepmoat Stadium - get there as early as you can! (I arrived at 7:10am last Sunday... ...I had to be back in Bessicar by 8:30am for a full English breakfast being cooked for me!)

Carboots are always hit and miss. I've been looking for a decent Commando bergan at carboot sales for nearly 10 years. I found a very rare 'mountain troop' bergan (basically a commando bergan made to fit an everest-frame/everest-carrier/whatever-the-heck-they're-called) for £1 at a Cambridge carboot back in 2005 IIRC, after all this time I've now found two normal ('43 pattern) within a week of each other up totally different ends of the country, both for super-cheap!

My motto when carbooting is; even if you don't currently want it or need it, haggle it cheap and buy it anyway - 'cos it saves these historic items of militaria from being thrown away/abused and they'll always be someone else who'll want to buy it/borrow it off of you. For example, re-sale of such commando bergans will easily raise a minimum of £30 each - shame I just hoard them and never do sell them though... :slap:

Some replacement German buttons, a new cap eagle to replace my frayed old one and a wound badge. Well, I've sustained enough airsoft injuries now to warrant one...

Cheers

From The Victory Show today:

WW2:
A 'real steel' fusee-spring cover for my custom airsoft Vickers MMG - £30
A 'real steel' trigger safety catch, also for the above - £10
Signals field telephone webbing strap - £3
Brit' jackknife lanyard - £4 (yeah, a bit expensive, but I was bored of looking for one for any cheaper that also was long enough to fit nicely around a waiste bigger than the usual tiny 1940s waistes)

Non-WW2:
Two unissued East German black tanker's jackets - £1 each

From Derby's Cattle Market carboot:

A Brit' wartime style (albeit post-war made) grey wool blanket with the red stitched edging - £2!
A set of old trolly/trailer wheels and axle for making a trolley for my WW2 Brit' generator to roll about on - £6 for the set.
A mains-powered Carter Gent GP1 air-raid siren!!! - £2!!! It's the single rotor version, so doesn't sound as awesome as the dual tone ones, but still great for the price! Here's a video of a newer Secomak made GP1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ4izj2OJ7Y
Another British B167*-type ammo tin, but this one is 1953 dated - £5

Tracer & bottle of green BBs ready for the December game. Bought the cheap B&T thing - seems fine! Discovered it works nicely just dropping the BBs into the tube - so the cat and I have been having a great time in the dark, flicking them around the living room. She said it made a nice change from marble flicking, our more normal evening activity.
